Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a credit card?
Credit cards are needed for the execution of a contract. However, as part of Dimmples’ commitment to reducing some rental barriers, other means of payment can be discussed and/or allowed during reservations and pick up, including the use of Zelle, CashApp, Apple Pay, Cash and e-transfer for Canada.
What About My Pets?
Pets are allowed in our rental vehicles. As a valued customer, you are advised to keep pets crated and return the rental car in clean condition and free of pet hair. If pet hair is found inside a rental vehicle after return, upon inspection, detailing fees will be charged.
How old must I be to rent with Dimmples?
Laws in most state allow for renters to be at least 25 years, although in some States renters’ ages start at 18. However, it will be based on the discretion of our representative in each location to issue a contract after considering certain factors, especially if you have full coverage insurance that can be verified with you as an added driver on the policy.
What is included in the rental charges?
Charges for a single rental transaction vary depending on the car category and state tax. However, four things are typically involved in the charges; the cost of renting a car, the state tax, cost of insurance for those who will want to purchase insurance and a $200 security deposit, typically refunded after one to three business days after the return of the vehicle.
Which documents are needed to pick up a rental car?
Every renter needs a valid driver’s license issued by any US state or Canadian province for those living in the United States of America or Canada and a valid passport for visitors from other countries. A visitor will also need a copy of their country’s issued driver’s license to confirm driving fitness. In some locations, based on your driving records and the discretion of the Dimmples representative, you may need at least collision insurance.
